Lampwork beads are made by hand using a torch to heat a rod of glass. The molten glass is then wound around a thin metal rod to make a basic bead. Once the base bead has been created, other colors of glass may be added to create intricate surface design. The final bead is then properly kiln annealed for durability. Each glass bead I create is made with ample time and attention to creative detail. My glass beads have all been digitally kiln annealed, thoroughly cleaned and then inspected for structural flaws. I mainly use Moretti Italian glass rods to make my beads. Each rod of glass is hand pulled and each batch has some variation in color so no two lampwork beads will ever be exactly the same.
Each one of my beads is a small yet unique piece of art. I enjoy custom design so if you want something made especially for you or as a unique gift, contact me at:Jennifer@norlighcreations.com

Skulls!
I have some new beads I'm working on, mainly skulls and goddesses. Skulls in anticipation of Halloween (my favorite holiday!) and goddesses because they are just so fun to create! The skulls are inspired by Caliente Glass. CG makes amazing hand pulled 96 COE glass rods and beads, and she is by far one of my most favorite lampwork glass beads artists!
Although skulls are commonly known to symbolize death and mortality they also have other meanings beyond "death." Our skulls hold and protect our brains, and for this reason a skull can be a sign of knowledge and mental power. New England tombstones often have an image of a skull with wings which represents the soul's triumph over the death of the flesh. In some ancient societies the skull represented life~ the honoring of humanity and the epitome of human consciousness.

Goddesses!
Goddesses! I am in love with creating the female form (especially with the cute little belly buttons!)
This is one of my new Goddess Angels, Amethyst. You'll notice the "scar" on her back. A few years ago Amethyst met a biker named "Biff" and she had his name tattooed on her back. Unfortunately Biff ran off with a platinum blond waitress named Bambi from The Last Chance Saloon, a small roadside establishment in Asylum Switch, Mississippi. Amethyst decided it was time to rid herself of the baggage that was Biff so she's in the process of having the tattoo laser removed. In about three more sessions the Biff Blemish will be banished forever!
Amethyst has a new wonderful home with Alice in Oregon. If you would like an Angel Goddess of your own, please contact me and let me know. I will be happy to custom create a Goddess for you in any color combination! The Goddesses are $15.00 for the bead, and $20.00 for a pendulum or "dog chain" necklace plus $3.00 S&H.

Skeleton Key Pendants
Hot glass permanently wound onto an antique skeleton key! A unique gift for yourself or a friend or family member. Once again, I am more than happy to custom design these keys in any creation you desire. Pendants are $20.00 plus $3.00 S&H.
